JOINT BASE ANDREWS FISHER HOUSE, INC.

• Many individual Fisher Houses have associated 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations to help support the house, it’s special programs and initiatives to further assist our service members and their families.  These organizations are location specific and separate from the Fisher House Foundation.
• The Joint Base Andrews Fisher House, Inc. is the nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that provides support specifically to the Fisher House at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.
• We also provide support to the wounded warriors who transit our medical center through donations of refreshments and creature comfort items.
• The organization was founded in 1993 prior to the groundbreaking of the Fisher House.  Its purpose was to raise funds to sustain the house and its programs once it was opened.
• The Fisher House at Joint Base Andrews opened it’s doors on August 8, 1994.  The formal dedication for the house was held September 26, 1994, which was Zach Fisher’s 84th birthday.
