OUR MISSION
The Washington DC metro area is home to numerous military medical centers serving thousands of military and veteran personnel and their families.
Fisher Houses are dedicated to providing an opportunity for these families to stay together during the most critical times – when a loved one is being treated for a serious injury or illness. The homes provide a safe, warm and compassionate environment where the families can receive the support and encouragement they need and so richly deserve.
Fundraising efforts are an on-going part of what we do to support the families and programs provided at Fisher House. Monies raised provide much needed funding to support the operation and the maintenance of the home and to provide the families with any necessary items needed during their stay.
Our mission is to keep our service members, veterans and their families together during times of medical need and to provide a support system to help with healing. A family’s love is the best medicine. Our guest experiences tell the story.
